Welcome to Future Asset. We believe that being female should never be seen as a barrier to progressing in the career you choose. In particular, we are working hard to encourage girls in high schools in Scotland to look at the world of investment. This may have been traditionally seen as a male-influenced field, but not anymore!
We want even more girls to see that this can be a personally rewarding world to explore. In investment you can develop your interpersonal skills, confidence, problem-solving powers and resilience. You can also, thanks to areas like responsible and ethical investing, have the power to change the world around us for the better.
Our goal is to enable girls in the senior phase of high school to learn how investment can change the world for the better, gain valuable, transferable skills and consider the benefits of possible future careers.
We organise conferences and workshops for girls across Scotland. Our 2017 event was very well attended. First Minister Nicola Sturgeon gave an inspiring speech and the girls and their teachers enjoyed talks, workshops and interactive experiences with women from a range of careers and professions.
The Future Asset steering group comprises largely female professionals who are actively engaged in the Scottish financial sector, working mainly in the investment management area. Drawn from a number of different firms in the industry, members are united in their determination to increase diversity in its recruitment practices. Future Asset is a trading name of Didasko — a charity committed to this objective.
