The Protecting Vulnerable Groups (PVG) scheme is a process managed by Disclosure Scotland to help ensure that people who are unsuitable to work with children cannot work with them.
If you are carrying out a regulated role, such as a Competition Coach with Future Asset, membership of the PVG scheme is now a legal requirement. You cannot undertake this volunteer role without a PVG in place specifically for your work with Future Asset.
What Future Asset needs from Coaches to be PVG Compliant
To ensure all Competition Coaches are PVG-compliant, we require:
-
- A valid PVG record: You must be registered with the PVG scheme through Disclosure Scotland.
- Organisation-specific PVG certificate details: If you work with vulnerable groups through more than one organisation, each role requires a separate PVG certificate. Future Asset must hold a record of your certificate number and issue date, specific to your coaching role with us.
Not sure if Future Asset holds a PVG number for you? Check using this form.
Applying for a PVG through Future Asset
- When you register as a new Competition Coach, we will assume you are happy to join the PVG scheme.
- We will contact you via email with detailed instructions on how to complete your PVG application.
- The application process is straightforward and does not take long to complete.
- As a volunteer, you will not be charged to join the PVG scheme with Future Asset.
If you have any questions, please don’t hesitate to get in touch with us.
