  • Aegon provide internships for students to gain hands-on experience – which are listed on their vacancies page.
  • Where: Their Edinburgh office usually offer two places a year through Investment 20/20.
  • When: Summer 2025
  • Artemis offer internships to university students (min age 19) through partner organisations.
  • Where: Internships are likely to be in London, with a maximum of two per year. 
  • Dundas Global usually offers internships in Investment, Marketing, and Operations for university students in their penultimate year. Dundas also offers  work experience on an ad-hoc basis with placements available for up to 3 students per year.  Interns are paid an interns daily rate. 
  • When: possible 4 week internship in summer 2025

  • Franklin Templeton offer a 10 week Internship programme in both their Edinburgh & London offices. These internships are in a variety of areas. These can include- Sales, Marketing, Investments, Technology, HR, Digital and more. 
  • Who: For students in their penultimate year from any degree background. 
  • When: 10 weeks paid internship from June- Aug
  • Kiltearn offer Internships in all areas of the firm.  
  • Who: typically for students in their penultimate year but this is flexible. 
  • When: up to 8  weeks paid internship 
  •  Lothian Pension Fund offer Internships and work-experience with Internships usually in Investments 
  • Who: For students in their penultimate year. 
  • When: 6 week internship annually with the application process through GAIN. 
  •  M&G offer a yearly internship scheme in Finance, Technology, Wealth, Risk & Compliance and Asset Management. 
  • Who: Specifically for penultimate year students as they use this as a pipeline into their Graduate scheme.
  • When: This is a 8-week paid summer programme run each year (June – Aug. Internship application go live September/October. 
  • Quilter offer Internships and work-experience with Internships usually in their London Office. 
  • Who: Specifically for penultimate year students. 
  • Internships are paid. 
  •  Skerryvore offer 2 yearly internships scheme in Investments.  
  • Who: Specifically for penultimate year University students. 
  • When: This is a 6- week paid internship through GAIN with applications starting in the Autumn and internships running in June/July 
  •  Stewart Investors offer internships and work experience on an ad-hoc basis in Investments. 
  • Who: Later year university students/those interested in a career in asset management.
  • When: Paid internship, usually in June /July  for a few weeks – max two months.
  •  Walter Scott offer internships and launched a Work Experience day this year for School Leavers. They have 2 programmes. One for their Research team and the other for Operations which can be anywhere in various departments. 
  • Who: Research Interns – ideally penultimate University students Operations – any year of University student Work Experience Day – ideally 5-6th year students
  • When: Internships are paid and  run for 6 weeks in July each year.
