The Growing Future Assets Investment Competition sits at the heart of Future Asset’s mission to inspire and engage more young women to consider careers within financial services. As the competition celebrates its 6th year, we are beginning to see the real impact it has on young women as they progress into careers across the sector.
With 100 schools taking part in this year’s competition, our judges faced the challenging task of narrowing down an exceptional field to select our finalists. The standard was incredibly high, reflecting both the talent and dedication of the students involved and making the final decisions tougher than ever.

During the competition, students are challenged to demonstrate their ability to deliver a persuasive investment recommendation by researching, analysing, and pitching a company. Teams must decide whether they believe their chosen company represents a strong long-term investment opportunity or make the case for why investors should not buy. Throughout the process, industry experts provide guidance and support, helping students to develop both their technical knowledge and presentation skills.
This year saw a significant rise in interest, not only from schools but also from industry professionals. Over 160 professionals from 36 firms signed up to support the competition, and we are incredibly grateful to our partners and volunteers who work alongside Future Asset to help drive our programmes forward.
Teams can win up to £1,000 for their school and up to £200 in vouchers per participant. There are two age categories, 14–16-year-olds and 16–18-year-olds, with teams required to submit a written company investment analysis alongside a three-minute elevator pitch video. The top 9 teams will now go head-to-head at a live final in March.
